GRE visit ESS in Sweden

Natalie & Kelvin have recently returned from a trip visiting ESS in Sweden. They were checking in on a unit with Anton from ESS that we have already completed on site and were discussing the new units that are currently at the design stage here at GRE HQ UK. If that wasn’t enough, they were able to visit and take a walk down the 537 metre long ESS Accelerator tunnel! Looking forward to returning. Take a look at what they got up to below:

Andy, our production manager had an awesome time participating in Land’s End 100. The stunning location, quiet roads and breathtaking views make this one of the most scenic rides in the country. In support of SSAFA (The Armed Forces Charity)

Cryogenic Cooling

Devon-based thermal engineering specialist, GRE Ltd, has succeeded in retaining the highest level of internationally recognised quality management standard, having achieved ISO9001:2015 for the second time.

The certification requires organisations to demonstrate that their quality management system (QMS) enables them to achieve statutory and regulatory requirements, delivering consistent and continued improvement of processes, and leading to high levels of performance, customer and stakeholder satisfaction.

GRE’s annual audit was carried out by SOCOTEC in August. It examined customer focus, the motivation of GRE’s management, their process approach and drive for continual improvements.

GRE director, Kelvin Long, said: “We are delighted to pass our ISO9001:2015 recertification with flying colours. Accreditation to ISO9001 ensures that quality management is at the heart of GRE’s activities.

“Our ongoing certification supports our ambitious business growth plans to supply cutting-edge cooling solutions domestically and internationally. The recertification reaffirms that our processes and commitment to excellence, both in terms of our customer service and product development, are second to none.”

GRE Ltd, which has been accredited to ISO9001 since 2012, is an industry leader in the design, development and manufacture of cutting edge, bespoke thermal engineering solutions. It provides a total end-to-end service encompassing design, manufacture, custom software and controls, testing and on-site commissioning. GRE’s skilled team of engineers pushes the boundaries of thermal engineering technology to develop tools and new solutions that solve complex and challenging problems for clients.

Earlier this summer, GRE Ltd completed the £1million export of a fully bespoke ultra-pure water cooling system to one of South Korea’s largest smart energy producers. (Read about it here) Combined with forward orders valued at £2m, GRE is now looking to expand its workforce, which has already grown by three new engineers and a new director in the last year alone.
